HOOSIERS PARADE

The celebration starts Saturday, June 3, at 11 a.m. with a parade through downtown and up North Adams Street, past the Hoosier Gym. Grand marshals of the parade will be Hoosiers screenwriter Angelo Pizzo and director David Anspaugh. Tom Carnegie, the voice of the Indianapolis 500, will be the guest announcer. Members of the original Hickory Huskers as well as members of the Milan High School basketball team, which won the 1954 Indiana state championship (the team which inspired the movie) , will be featured in the parade. They will sign autographs at the Hoosier Gym at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
